The meatpacking district has quickly become one of the chicest and most expensive retail destinations in New York City. Here are a few pictures from a quick walk along 14th street. Some of the window displays were seriously lacking while others, like Hugo Boss, went all out. Their winter explorer theme was innovative and successfully brought the clothing to life:

“Why don’t we replace the mannequins heads with wrapping paper and call it a day.” Could have been the thought process at Yigal Azrouel:

Carlos Miele going winter minimal. Total time spent: 15 minutes.

Levi’s gets an A for effort but the direction of the brand remains a bit cloudy. As exemplified by models wearing outdoor gear sitting on a city:

The GQ + Park and Bond pop up shop was a huge hit. Look for future stores down the road and we can only hope that creative genius Nick Wooster will once again be at the helm:

Some stores are afraid to commit to the holiday, Christmas, winter theme and end up looking more like Easter, as shown by L’Occitane:

And finally here’s the new Kiehl’s shop doing absolutely nothing, as their windows are already a Lite Brite color explosion.
