For the November 2011 covers there are a few surprises: Details going old-school by featuring a male model, David Gandy, and GQ with an impressive rock and roll cover and all music issue. Others are no surprise at all: Maxim going slutty with a bikini clad girl who dragged a garden hose to the beach and Men’s Health featuring biceps and a black tee shirt again, although to be fair, it’s a slightly camouflage shirt if you look really close. Gandy is best known as the face of Dolce Gabbana’s terrific men’s fragrance, Light Blue. Rounding out the covers: Esquire with Rihanna in what appears to be an Adam and Eve metaphor, although it could also be a just-escaped-from-the-jungle Amazon woman look. They’ve tapped her as the “Sexiest Woman Alive” and we can’t argue with the pick, she is damn hot and super talented. Men’s Health features rising star Henry Cavill, best known for his work on The Tudors, and now Immortals. If you still don’t know who he is, just wait till the re-re-make of Superman in 2012, in which he stars as Clark Kent. Men’s Journal recycled a photograph of the legendary Muhammad Ali. And lastly, V Man featured James Franco on a vibrant and fresh graphic cover.
