ROLLING INTO NYC THIS SUMMER
Mayor Bloomberg has been pushing hard for a bike-share program and it might soon become a reality. We like the looks of the bike above, part of London’s bike-share program run by BIXI, one of the two finalists to land NYC’s bid. The test program will start with 30 stations, then if all goes well expand to 600 and 10,000 bicycles by April 2012. We’ve used the shared bikes in Paris a few times and it’s a sweet way to get around while in the city for only a few days.
