THE FIXER: MOROCCANOIL

When it comes to grooming, the best products are often geared towards the women’s market, but as is the case with Moroccanoil, work just as good for men. I’ve been a long time fan of Kiehl’s Leave-In Silk Groom and recently came across a similar, and quite possibly better product, Moroccanoil’s Hydrating Styling Cream. Hair gels and hair pastes, the two most commonly used items in a man’s grooming routine, have their drawbacks: gels tend to dry quickly and can leave your hair looking like a freshly shellacked Sun Fish, while pastes often leave your hair looking unhealthy and dry, while resembling the texture of Play-Doh. What makes styling cream different is how it hydrates and conditions, adds a healthy shine, helps tame loose hair, and provides just enough molding power to style it however you want. It’s a grooming solution worth considering. And the nifty pump bottle is far superior to Kiehl’s, who’s frustrating packaging makes getting the entire product out virtually impossible. $29 for a 10.2 ounce bottle, available at Amazon.
