Adweek released their annual Hotlist today, awards given to the “supernovas of print, television and digital media.” The methodology behind how the winners were selected is a bit ambiguous: “Across weeks, we studied factors including advertising business, audience numbers, category supremacy, creativity, innovation, industry accolades and social buzz. We also invited you to chime in—and that you did, to the tune of more than 1 million votes. Just try not to get scorched.” Was the voting mechanism meant to drum up interest for the actual list or did it dictate the winners? Either way, it’s great to see GQ take “Hottest Magazine for Men.” A well deserved accolade. You can view the full list here.
