Spotted at the the campy-cool barber shop “Persons of Interest,” on Smith Street in Brooklyn. Portland General Store, a relative newcomer from the great state of Maine. Their line of original, no frills products are made from natural ingredients, avoiding fragrance oils and chemical additives commonly found today. Two favorites: the completely natural WOOD Super Thick Hand Cream, scented with essential oils of cedar, hiba wood, patchouli, vetiver grass and vanilla, and HUNTING CAMP, which uses a traditional cold process soap making method. It’s made with pumice, sandalwood exfoliating powder, frankincense powder, spikenard powder and moisturizing natural oils. First-rate products, great design. WOOD Hand Cream, $14.
