GILT GROUPES LATEST: PARK & BOND

Gilt Groupe is launching a full-priced e-commerce site that will soon step into the ring with Mr. Porter. Named after two famous shopping streets in Manhattan, Park & Bond will further extend Gilt Groupe’s retail take over. John Auerbach, General Manager of Gilt MAN and President of PARK & BOND remarked “Moving into the full-price retail space is the natural next step following the runaway success of Gilt MAN. Unlike the Gilt MAN flash-sales mode, merchandise on PARK & BOND will live according to seasonality, enabling consumers to shop any brand at any time.” Let’s see if this move provides a much needed kick in the ass to bigger retail chain websites that haven’t evolved and look so drab by comparison.
