Esquire’s Spring 2011 Big Black Book is a great resource for any guy looking to amp up his style.  There’s nothing cheeky or glib about this issue, just straight up fashion, style and tons of helpful advice. It’s refreshing to have a special issue dedicated solely to all things style, as the popular monthlies can sometimes seem scattered, with dedicated fashion pages so closely watched and monitored. Our favorite fashion story was “How to Wear Color,” a tricky subject shot on a collection of interesting looking guys. They somehow made “Parakeet Green” look good. We liked the well-deserved respect they give to station wagons, in particular the new super fast Cadillac CTS-V, although we prefer the BMW 328i Sport Wagon. They also balance out the new with the old and give a shout-out to the classic Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Although dubbed “The Style Manual for Successful Men,” we think the lazy ones with low ambition could also get something out of reading it.
